SilverSport was a trial program which supported low socio-economic seniors aged 60 and over to participate in sport and active recreation. The trial ran from 1 April 2017 and has now come to an end.

More than 806 seniors from the City of Albany participated in the program at 22 SilverSport providers.

The City of Albany is pleased to have been able to partner with the Sport and Recreation division of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) and the Department of Communities (previously Department of Local Government and Communities) to offer SilverSport to our seniors and support them to get active and connect to our community.

All SilverSport seniors are encouraged to stay physically active.
