Our Gymnasium and Group Fitness floor space covers 650m2 with air-conditioning fitted throughout and TV screens showing the Foxtel music channels motivate you during your workout.

Gym

All new members receive an initial health and fitness appraisal during which one of our qualified Instructors will discuss your lifestyle goals.  The Instructor will develop a personalised workout plan and show you through the gym equipment to ensure you are comfortable with your program.

Our instructors conduct regular reviews of your program and progress.  They are available to offer you help and advice.

In the Gym there is a choice of:

  • Pin loaded machines
  • Free weights
  • Plate machines
  • Cardio equipment

Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre offers 37 classes per week that are run by fully qualified and accredited fitness instructors. We run classes for all ages and fitness levels and are available to members or on a pay-per-session basis.   

Our Personal Trainers can deliver safe, effective and fun training programs to suit all ages and fitness levels. The training program are varied and will help you improving your health and wellness.

At the Albany Leisure & Aquatic Centre you will receive support to achieve your personal goals. 

Albany Leisure & Aquatic Centre offers 3 different Aqua Aerobic class types that gives our customers variety for all ranges of fitness.

Aqua Splash

No swimming experience is neccessary for this class. It is a low impact resistance workout utilising equipment and will help improve strength, flexibility and endurance. This class is held in the shallow pool.

Aqua Deep

The deep water aqua class targets cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, flexibility and core stability with the support of a buoyancy belt.

Fab 50's 

Fab 50's is designed as a low to moderate intensity class that is targeted for the over 50's age group. It helps improve cardiovascular Fitness, strength and bone density.
